James Pratt - Artistic Director

James is a South Australian conductor and musician, a graduate of the Elder Conservatorium and Sydney Conservatorium. As a singer he has worked with The State Opera of SA, WA Opera, Opera Australia, The Arts Centre Melbourne, and for Victorian Opera creating a role in Richard Gill’s original pantomime ‘ Cinderella.’ James has toured Australia and Asia in the Phantom of the Opera as an ensemble member, swing, and Raoul cover, he performed the role of Fabrizio Naccarrelli in the Australian premiere of The Light in the Piazza at Sydney’s Lyric Theatre and performed with Jason Robert Brown at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival. The first ever Masters in Conducting Graduate at the University of Adelaide, James is also the recipient of the Brian Stacey Award for Emerging Conductors, and the winner of the Edouard Toldra conducting competition in Spain and was an assistant conductor at the Royal Ballet, Covent Garden.
